Nolan’s H.E.R.O. Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to carry on the mission of Nolan Berthelette, a Pittsfield, Maine youth, who suffered a fatal brain aneurysm at the age of 14. Our goal is to raise awareness of brain aneurysms, organ donation, and to support those who are finding ways to be a H.E.R.O. (Helping Everyone Realize Opportunities) in the lives of others. We also want to inspire and encourage youth to participate in academics, exercise, music, sports, and a love for the outdoors and nature. These are all things Nolan loved and excelled in.

"One child alone can make a difference, but all of us together can change the world."
. . . ."Being a hero doesn't take a person that is superior to others or someone with an abnormal power. All it takes is an average human looking to do what is right for others."
. . . ."Be exceptional, help each other, be kind to one another, set yourself apart."
. . . ."Remember the many exciting and unforgettable memories, this is the end of something great and the beginning of something greater."
